Walnut Hill Telephone Company is a quality telecommunications company that provides Basic and Enhanced services at reasonable rates within its service territory. Basic services are offered at the following monthly rates:

Trunk $16.98
1-Party $18.75
Trunk $35.16
FCC Toll Access Line Charge $6.50

Single Line $6.50
Multi-Line $9.50

Emergency Services (911 surcharge) $ .50 $ .90

The Lifeline assistance program offered by Walnut Hill Telephone Company reduces the monthly recurring charges for the Individual access line, FCC Toll Access line charge, ELCS, and Touch tone for qualifying low-income residential customers. The monthly recurring Federal Universal service charge may also be waived. See below for additional information regarding Lifeline and Link-Up assistance.

Lifeline Service and Link-up Program
The Federal Communications Commission has established two programs to make telephone service more affordable to eligible customers. Lifeline service is a program designed to make telephone service available at reduced rates to eligible residential customers.

Link-Up is a program designed to offer eligible customers a reduction in installation charges for telephone service equal to one half of the service connection charges or $30.00, whichever is less.

Who qualifies for reduced Telephone Charges?
You are eligible for Lifeline Service and Link-Up Program if your annual household income as at or below 135% of the federal poverty guidelines, or in your household resides a person who receives or has a child who receives benefits from at least one of the following programs:

DSL High Speed Internet Service Low Income Home Energy Assistance Programs
        (LIHEAP)
DSL High Speed Internet Service SNAP - Supplemental Nutrition

        listed as Food Stamps)
DSL High Speed Internet Service AID to Families DSL High Speed Internet Service HUD
DSL High Speed Internet Service Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) DSL High Speed Internet Service Supplemental Security Income
DSL High Speed Internet Service Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8)  

If you do not participate in any of the programs listed above and believe your household income is at or below 135% of the federal poverty guidelines, and you are notreceiving Lifeline Service reduction, you can apply for the Lifeline discount by calling toll free 1-870-921-4283.
